Workshop Info
Spend an inspiring, challenging, and thrilling week with others who share your passion for bluegrass and old-time in an immersive music environment! Our workshops provide a fun, friendly, and non-competitive experience for everyone from beginners to advanced players with ample opportunity for group learning, electives, organized jam sessions, and tons of other spur-of-the-moment activities.
Each workshop week starts with registration opening at 1 p.m. on Sunday afternoon and an orientation at 4:15 p.m.
The week wraps up after a one hour session on Friday morning.
The workshops are facilitated by an instructor, have a specific instrument focus, and target varying playing levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced).
Visit the workshop lineup page to see the choices of amazing instructors and workshops. Participants will meet with their workshop group each morning for 1 hour and 45 minutes and each afternoon for 1 hour. It can be tempting to choose a workshop to spend time with a favourite instructor; however, participants get the most out of a workshop when they select one to match their playing level. If you are not sure which level to pick, go here to Guidelines for Workshop Levels to help you decide. We highly encourage all participants to sign up for a workshop, but also offer the option of ‘Picker & Grinner’ for those who want to join in on the NimbleFingers fun without attending a workshop.
