Intermediate Clawhammer

Do you feel ready to go beyond the basic bum-ditty? Let's learn some new rhythmic techniques that can bring out new possibilities in your old-time repertoire. We'll start by firming up our skills in the basics; then explore right-hand techniques that will create new textures, emphasize different beats; and give you the possibility of supporting the melody in new ways. We'll talk about how to support the "groove" of a tune and how to make the most of the banjo's unique place between rhythm and melody.
